How This Practice Test Works
- Each attempt draws 15–20 questions at random from our pool of 203 and shuffles the answer order. Score 80% or more and the next test moves up a difficulty level; under 50% and it eases back.
- After every answer you see an explanation and the Tex. Occ. Code / 16 TAC reference behind it.
- We use 70% as a practice target. The official TDLR ACR contractor exams are given by PSI and need 70% (16 TAC § 75.21). Environmental Air Class A has 120 scored questions in 230 minutes; Class B has 100 in 170 minutes. Only 5 or 6 of those questions are on Texas laws and rules, and the rest are technical, open-book code and manual questions.
- There is no sign-up. Your level is saved only in this browser.
These are original questions written by our editorial team from the published Tex. Occ. Code / 16 TAC. They are not real exam questions. Questions follow Texas Occupations Code Chapter 1302 and 16 TAC Chapter 75 as published. TDLR amended Chapter 75 effective September 1, 2026, moving to the 2024 codes, so we avoid fee and code-edition questions that the amendment changed. The technical code and manual content is not covered.
